Skye Chamberlain, Grade Seven Teacher
Skye Chamberlain was born and raised in west Michigan amidst beach grass and poplar trees, within the sound of the Grand Haven Lighthouse's foghorn. She holds a BA in South-Asian Art and Anthropology from the University of Michigan, and graduated from Sound Circle Teacher Training in Seattle in June 2003. Ms. Chamberlain spent a year in Nepal studying folklore and storytelling in the Himalayas, and during this time met her husband, Ramesh, an Indian national. Ms. Chamberlain served as Bright Water's Lead Kindergarten Teacher for the Salmonberries class from 2002-2004 and has worked at Seattle Waldorf School, first as a nap teacher and then as an assistant kindergarten teacher. Her oldest daughter graduated from Seattle Waldorf School in 2005, and her youngest graduated from Bright Water in June, 2007.
